1. Add 1 tea spoon of turmeric to a pan of cold water and bring to the boil. 2. Once the water/turmeric starts boiling turn down the heat slightly and allow to boil for a further 10 - 12 minutes before turning off heat completely The component aspect of the turmeric that we're after is curcumin, which is released in greater quantity, once boiled, than by just sprinkling on your food and consuming. Drink that as a tea. You can also rub that onto your skin if you have absolutely any epidermal related issues: 1. Hi doctor... I would like to know whether there are any researches going on to find out a cure for rheumotoid arthritis... because I am just 25 years old and I've been suffering with this disease for the past 6 years... but the doctors are just trying to control the disease and told that there is no cure for this disease.. its really a bad news.. If all the scientists are inventing and discovering new things why cant they find a way to cure thi disease with the most advanced science.

Doc, my wife began 4000 IU Vitamin D BID PO and was able to stop taking Diclofenac. Labs drawn suggest significant reduction in systemic inflammation. Stomach pain/ulcer risk reduced, too. Much thanks! Krill oil on the way in the mail. .
Great video, Also, check out this man's work: Dr. Yiamouyiannis... The situation can be PREVENTED, or symptoms kept in check! Stop Fluoride Intake ASAP! He has some videos on Youtube as well. .

I man-handled my rheumatoid arthritis pain away by taking seven nutraceuticals. I used them over a three month time period during which I noticed the pain gradually decreased until it was completely gone. The pain has never returned. I have my life back! This is how I handled my rheumatoid arthritis.. you can find it in google for its tratmrnt.trhen you can take agood treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis patients.. There is no way around your diet, when it comes to Rheumatoid Arthritis. If you are not restricting your diet strictly for RA, you will never be free of pain and inflammation. It will continue to plague you. Eating the wrong foods causes a chemical reaction in your body, which causes chronic inflammation. Your intestines are releasing toxins, undigested food particles, and yeast into your blood stream. You have to heal your intestines. I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis, since 1993. I have read countless books about dieting for RA and they all contained contradictions. That is why I started my own elimination diet and for years I documented what the actual causes of my inflammation had been. I wanted one book that only had sound advice and that told you all you needed to know about Rheumatoid Arthritis. It's called, Healing Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis with Food by Jarrod Matthew Hardy. It is available exclusively on Amazon Books. I hope this helps -JMH. +bestfat>>Your own body have the ability to decrease gout pain within just 2 hours or fewer, and it is possible to heal gout arthritis entirely within 14 days>>>.

You can be healed of gout and the underlying diseases that's causing it, within 14 days... using a unique home remedy we've found. Good video, I've had multiple joint replacements and also had to have and angioplasty and stent when I was 32 after a heart attack caused by the damage RA has done. Two large capsules of Salmon Liver Oil with two K-2 has taken away the pain and replaced missing bone marrow in osteoporosis. Also, removing toxins with Sun Chlorella A Tablets is the best way to rid the body (and brain) of toxins which cause template diseases..

Why are so many more articles online say that TART Cherries have more anti-inflammatory properties than the sweet (BING) Cherries! ugh~ I got respect for this doctor, so I'm kinda torn..

So, how many cherries does one need to eat to get the similar anti-inflammatory effects of one Advil (200 mg.).
AWESOME information! I will gladly chow down on a bag of fresh cherries the next time I'm feeling achy. You've got me thinking. Right now, sweet cherries are available in the grocery stores. It's a good time to stock up and put them in the freezer. I've found frozen cherries are not always available in the winter months. . +Whole Food Plant Geek A couple weeks ago, I came across dark sweet cherries in the frozen section and felt like a kid at christmas! After watching your pitting cherries video, it'll be a breeze to buy them fresh and freeze them myself, cheaper too! :). +Whole Food Plant Geek Pitting only slows you a bit. Not pitting makes them a pain later when they come out of the freezer w/pits. Haven't frozen bings but it is probably a little like the grapes I froze..
I hope you don't mind me posting the link to this video in a fb group for a particular health problem. I would love to know how many cherries are equivalent to 800mg advil. Thanks!.

Good to know, I was getting a bit worried then until you said about the cyanidins as I just bought some grape seed extract for when I go running... Cherry season begins end June / beginning of July this year in the UK..

thanks for posting this I always wondered what Haggis was and what it looked like. Not pretty but amazing that people would enjoy it. Thank You for all of your well made informative videos..

I suffer from the occasional gout attack and take 2 x 200mg Ibuprofen for relief. Should I always take it with food to help protect my stomach What type of food Does it work by reducing the crystals in my joints or does it just relieve the pain I will start buying frozen cherries if I can as the fresh ones are seasonal and very expensive. Thank you for the info..
How many cherries would a person have to eat to have the anti inflammatory properties of an 800mg ibuprofen exactly Thanks! Loved the video!. Please don't use shock and awe techniques that was truly disgusting and not needed (the haggis part, everything else was good). I suppose it was just some constructive criticism I did not mean to offend anyone, or to make them think I was attacking anybody, but I suppose that is the internet. . After seeing the Doctor's other videos, I almost feel like there is nothing concerning the tactics of drug companies or lobbyists can shock me. Yummy medicine!!! (BTW the opening photo is disgusting!) So glad there is a good reason to eat cherries...they are so delicious. . The good old days! When I was a kid, use to clime up the Cherry trees with friends and eat so much cherry I barely can clime down, belly was so full, my lips bluish red from the fruit. LOL!.
I can testify as fan of the channel and a haggis loving Scot... we tend to discard the stomach lining after cooking..

+NutritionFacts.org Great information, I have actually been suffering from digestive problems and found cherries to be very helpful. Do you think concentrated cherry juice would have some effect on cox-2 as well I am hoping to use it through out the winter. Also this got me thinking about garlic, which I have heard acts like Nsaids.. do you know how much garlic inhibits cox-1 and 2.

I don't know if eating anything that inhibits Cox-1 regardless of anti-inflammatory benefits, is good. If advil's removal of Cox-1 can harm people, wouldn't cherry's removal of Cox-1 also be bad, just on a smaller scale If just choose to bear with the over abundance of Cox 2, would I just have to deal with pain My pain tolerance is very strong..

but but... I have a slight allergy to cherries and other related fruits like apples, pears, plums, peaches, apricots... it's only slight so at most it makes me itchy and a tiny bit of swelling. I don't think this is for me LOL.

Dear honored doctor, How many fresh sweet bing cherries would it take to equal 1 dose of ibuprofen Let's say, 200mg of ibuprofen to Xg of bing cherries If a bing cherry is 8g, how many cherries would = 200mg of ibuprofen Ahh... please tell me if this calculation is correct dear, kind, good doctor: 100g of bing cherries = 86.6mg of anthocyanin (fresh flesh+skin) 1g of bing =.866mg anthocyanin 0.866mg*X = 200mg (X = grams of bing) 200/0.866 = X 230.947 = X ~231 grams of bing cherries = 200mg of anthocyanin Since, 1 bing = 8g, 8g*X = 231g => => ~29 cherries = 200mg of anthocyanin Therefore, Eating 29 fresh bing cherries should produce an equivalent pain relief as a normal does of ibuprofen pill BUT without letting our body digest its own stomach and intestines. What do you think P.S. 8g of 1 bing might include mass of pit, which in normal cases will not be consumed and therefore changes the # of bing to equal 200mg anthocyanin. If so, a new calculation would be necessary, but I don't think the pit is more than 15% of the cherry weight, so, 29 bing is accurate to a +15% rate of error (dependent on pit mass data) 29 might be good, but 34 will certainly give 200mg of anthocyanin to your blood cells. Please let me know what you think about the calculation. Thank you for all that you do..
I'm outraged that the dangers of NSAID's is not widely advised by MD's and the companies that distribute them. Another FDA/ Big Pharma "un-advertised special"..

Osteoarthritis is estimated to affect 630 million people worldwide, so it’s no surprise that this week’s most popular video was the one on osteoarthritis and turmeric curcumin: http://nutritionfacts.org/video/turmeric-curcumin-and-osteoarthritis/. I have RA as both my parents did. My finger joints would ache and swell and enlarge and my little fingers felt like they were broken for months at a time. That is until I started taking turmeric, basic curry powder, a few years ago. Stiffness and pain are now gone and I can lift weights again pain free. It's been a Godsend and I don't have to take immune suppressing drugs to fight my RA, some which can cause far worse things to happen.. Although turmeric is fantastic, how can you seriously cite the China Study after it's been debunked so readily.
Sorry for previous comments- just some jealousy Brilliant! First Class I know there are people here in Britain looking to emulate your model.

I have been off my Naproxen 500mg(had been on it for several years)...for 9 months since i eliminated dairy especially Milk from my diet, i have significally increased beans fruits and vegetables to my diet along with a cup of golden milk (made with a non dairy nut milk) the Osteo pain in my hips, spine has gone from severe pain down to hardly noticeable or an occasional twinge...i am an overweight female in my early 50's and i feel like i've been granted a second chance, i've joined a gym and am working on weight loss..its a slow process but im getting there. Foods do heal. .

+James Thomas I'm still doing it, fell off awhile back and boy did i regret that, a good reminder to keep Tumeric in my life..
+Cathy Cee James...do it, you won't regret it, i just recently broke/dislocated my shoulder and im sure the tumeric is helping to speed my recovery. :). I've been drinking 1/2 tsp. of Tumeric & 1/2 tsp cinnamon + juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon & honey to sweeten in a BIG BEER MUG of boiling water every morning for about 2 months now! BEATS coffee BIG TIME! Mix into a liquidy paste before adding the boiling water … otherwise the powders tend to float on the surface. :) ~South Africa~ PS: Rub teeth with the inside of a banana peel if there's any discolouration afterwards. HA HA :) PPS: Add a little lemon zest (grated lemon peel) for additional HUGE health, healing & slimming benefits!.
+Kraaxpelax I take recently 1tsp Ginger,1tsp Turmeric, 1 Smidgeon Black Pepper in HOT water with Molasses, Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar. x3 daily. Hits my spot alrightee...tastes gooood. And I follow the first cup up with my black coffee morning kick-start essential... ;-).

Hello!! How much tumerick is needed for a man that weight is about 180 pounds and suffer from pains in joints nees, sholders, neck, arms, hands and neck!! He's 35 stoped drinking milk since a year almost !! .
notice how he doesn't give the most important piece of information that would be a recommended daily intake. doctors don't have our best interests at heart, just their pocketbooks..
I have an ankle and I just can't trust it...it's fine sometimes and other times it's so painful I can hardly walk. Thank god I found this vid because I really want a natural treatment. Otherwise I would have had to go on meds.

Turmeric in conjunction with increase intake of vegan omega-rich foods is making a significant impact in my life. Thank you Dr Greger from the bottom of my heart!.

I understand you don't accept scientific facts, so I will just wish you the best. I would never insult you and you have insulted me so...Good luck to you..

I take two 5oomg of Termeric Curcumin with a few cloves of black pepper every am with food.It works for me.

I use turmeric whenever I tweak my lower back, which happens on occasion. Recently I treated a soar ligament in my knee with turmeric, black pepper and rest. It was so bad I couldn't put weight on it. Within two days I had only a small limp and could nearly run..
Glad I eat so much curried lamb and vegetables so often. Other than spinach lasagna and wnames, curried anything is my favorite food..
This is pretty neat. In my restaurant we are completely gluten free nut free 100% organic. Anti-inflammatory. And cook with a lot of tumeric and cury. We follow dr wyld. Pretty closely to give the people of saskatoon a better and healthier eating experince. .
Great video as always! My husband is trying to get better from his swollen knee (gout+rheumatoid arthritis). We'll do a lot of Turmeric from now (we are already eliminating all animal products). Natural peanut butter with salt, pepper, and turmeric is a yummy savory on wheat crackers. Pepper is supposed to increase the goodness of turmeric significantly..
It seems to have helped in lessening the sudden onslaught of extreme arthritic pain I've experienced in my hands. Now that I use it regularly in my diet, I've no longer experienced that major pain..

Turmeric is a member of the ginger family. It is responsible for the yellow color of Indian curry and American mustard. Curcumin is the most active constituent of turmeric..

Specifically, poor handling of powdered or precisely grated curcumin. The whole plant is much easier to work with. That was kind of a stab ar dr Greger for decrying Xylitol/Sorbitol as harmful, because they can cause diarrhea if you eat a large amount without water due to osmotic effect..
Whoever disliked this video is stupid. Keep up the good research and continue to spread the message.. Thank you for this video. I must comment that this method of presentation is the most professional I've seen on YT. So easy to listen, while also providing clear-cut back up from your sources on the info presented. Thanx. . You know the major problem I have with referenced studies and natural compounds/supplements They rarely if ever are exact with regards to what product they are using Like what specific extract was used here Knowing this of course is everything.. Except one here did (Meriva is a brand name) and the other with heat treated and heat untreated turmeric also did..

We lost our little man almost 5 years ago to this drug...he was given much too high a dose and in less than 3 weeks led to fatal consequences.. So sorry you lost your beloved Dog. Thank you for saving others. I am linking this YT page on my website.. Previcox killed our sweet Bichon too. He was in perfect health, just a little stiff in the joints. He died of acute drug toxicity from taking Previcox. He spent 7 days in the emergency hospital at Cornell Veterinary and 4 months on fluids and a million medications, all to no avail. This drug destroys a dog's kidneys, it is a terrible death. BAN this BAD DRUG! We are heartbroken and angry. We spent $8,000.00 to save our beloved companion. Write to the FDA, and the Veterinary Association. Boycott Merial Pharmaceuticals!.
Take your newfound comprehension and realize your soul and life has evolved to a higher level. Understanding “why” a death occurred or the lessons surrounding their transition is the Gift contained within that traumatic event!!.

vet who deals with animal deaths on a daily basis is unusual, yet he does not make owners properly aware of the drug’s potential dangers..
The drug is the veterinarians’ version of the human drug Voixx (made by Merck, the parent company of Merial). Vioxx caused thousands of deaths and was pulled from the market by the FDA. A lawsuit followed with a multibillion dollar settlement reached. ☢☢☢ often the best way to heal a needless death is to put meaning to it by preventing others from the same fate ~ my first line of cheap remedy for dog arthritis & joint deterioration is Gluscosamine Hydrocholroide ( not sulfate) with Chondrotiin with meals, available next to multi vitamins with minerals ( which everyone must have to for any hope of good health ) on your health food store of grocery store pharmacy shelf = but never taken longer 30 - 60 days if persistent digestion upset avails.

2 radicalronin: yes i have experienced abnormal stuttering like you. Unlike you though i will say that i have always had a little stutter here and there but lately after taking Meloxicam it makes the stuttering 10x worse !!!!! hopefully theres no permanent damage. Fucking pharmaceutical companies need to figure this shit out before putting it on the market, oh wait they might lose money if they do a thorough job of testing and researching. How could i be so stupid.
i was given it for my back and neck im trying to find out if this is happening to any one else im 42 and for the last month i started stuttering i never stuttered in my life im not sure if is form the meloxicam or something else.
am heavy lifter,,,,taking MELOTEV 15MG everyday with lunch,, feeling amazing in gym,,,,,,joints recovery like crazy..
if i only took one pill of meloxicam in my life like 5 hours ago, can i drink alcohol!! plz respond asap i am drinking tonight.
Obviously, we are all different but I use meloxicam (Movalis in Australia) for chronic arthritis in my right ankle which is due to a bad work accident 20 years ago. I have tried several anti-inflammatories but this is the only kind which has worked well and had no noticeable side effects. Just my experience but, as that goes, I can recommend this stuff highly. I hear it can be pretty expensive in countries without government subisidised pharmaceutical schemes..
