Thx for this video...I highly recommend Maxelder argan cream … I use it twice a day and I love the way it makes my skin feel like it’s refreshed… I feel that it has helped my facial skin to stay younger looking … My mom even stated that she thinks I look younger than my twin sister. I was upset when. I’m sure if you try it you will like it!! you can find it at w..…nyarganoil.….c.
This is his edited presentation version but this is concise-Is his formula Increase polyphenols ( Ex.=Resveratrols)and increase intake of NR + NMN (NAD Precursors) that then activates the cellular Sirtuin (Longevity) Gene that increases the Sirtuin (Longevity) protein that works with the NAD that increases the mitochondria and mitochondrial activity that makes the necessary proteins such as Telomerase that maintain our Chromosome Telomere End Caps that maintain our genes and then lifelong cell division and prolongs health, decreases disease (morbidity) and increases our life span(health span)..

As far as I know you cannot exclusively age your way into diabetes, or coronary heart disease. These diseases are promoted through lifestyle and diet. You cannot get diabetes while eating a healthy diet and your arteries will not start to build blockage of bad fats, just because you are getting older. The other diseases I would agree you become more susceptible with age..
+Kevin Willen Actually, what you are saying is not true. There is a huge confusion of people regarding this. A diet that is very low in saturated fats and rich in healthy fats simply postpones artherosclerosis. The reason why we think that it prevents it completely is because people that folllow these diets die before developing artherosclerosis from other causes, such as infections or kidney failure. That is, someone that eats butter every die might have a massive heart attack at age 45 and die, while someone that eats a very healthy diet might still have relatively clean arteries at age 90, and then die at age 93 from a cold. But if that person lived long enough, by the age of, say, 160 or 170 they would have a heart attack anyway. The problem with proposing diet as a solution to ageing, is that a very healthy diet only slows down the development of several pathologies that kill you, but it does not stop it completely, and there are many types of problems caused by ageing that a very healthy diet doesen't slow down at all. Going back to the heart as an example, while eating a very healthy diet might significantly delay the accumulation of cholesterol in the arteries' walls, the heart wil still lose cells anyway and become weaker. A person that eats such a diet might never have a heart attack, but the heart will eventually simply give out anyway due to becoming weaker and weaker and no longer being able to pump blood. You might avoid the infarction, but you won't avoid the cardiac arrest. To TRULY extend lifespan dramatically, we will need interventions much, much, MUCH more powerrful than just eating broccoli and passing on the bacon and sugar. There is no diet that will make you live to be 200. NONE..
Do Lobsters have an analogue of this gene Lobsters don't age, so it would be a curious observation..

Hello I'm Elvis I'm 15 years old,the reason why we age is because of our chromosomes continue getting shorter hence the telomere biological cells cut off too,the reason cancer kills us is because it's theoretically and biologically immortal, for example there are jellyfishs called the immortal jellyfishs they work by continuously duplicating cells without cutting them hence keeping them alive then when they get too old they shrink back to baby size and continue the process but for humans our bones aren't that flexible hence theoretically we can't reverse to baby size again but if our telomere were to continue without cutting as it duplicates we would biologically be immortal and some research I've done shows that the underground mole is immune to cancer because it's cells are so sensitive that if it detects an abnormal cell it is terminated immediately,at least if we could adapt that gene to rats and monkeys we could eventually cure cancer also with nanotechnology,so as I explained if we advance our technology till the extent we are able to have our telomere continuously replicate,immortality..

+Ddstairclimber I think people in their 50's and younger will make it. I was born around 2000, so i think i'm pretty good..
After chemical engineering, this makes me want to get a masters in genetic engineering in order to find immortality..
The best strategy is high carbohydrate low protein low fat as longevity research from univ of Sydney shows. Caloric restriction only benefits high protein diets. Resveratrol does not work. Eat whole food plant based diet rich in starchy staples, fiber. Gut microbiome is critical part of it..
+Jan Jani it's the sun! and probably the algae, too. and resting, being quiet, still, observant but not asleep..
Drink pure water, eat only organic vegetables and fruits and drink your urine. Then visualize and believe..

If that misanthropic cynicism is correct, then by god...the Templar's Order from the Assassin's Creed lore must be real! O_O.
+Argonova lol this planet's obviously seems to be changing kinda fast I mean, civil rights took place 100 years ago what makes u think society would be any similar than it is today I'll tell why. We won't expect it. Our future in 100 years time would be so great, Our mind wouldn't even try to comprehend what's going on. So even if immortality's been discovered in the future let's say 2050, we have no place to say what the government would do to it since a lots changed then .
It was presumed that calorie restriction itself was the key, but restriction of the amino acid methionine appears to be a key factor. That is found in larger quantities in animal products. This may be one of many reasons research is indicating vegetarians live longer than omnivores, and vegans even longer. Also antioxidants found in plant foods slow down that "gunking up" of the repair mechanisms. Vegan or whole foods plant based diets also reduce and prevent diet related diseases - the leading causes of death in the US and elsewhere such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer's, etc.. Check out the videos at nutritionfacts.org on the topic of aging..
Until i heard : "Don't go out to the drug store and stock up on these kinds of chemicals and enzymes thinking your gonna live forever" in 4:23. That's exactly what I planned to do :). Wait he never explained how you live 30% longer if you starve yourself..that doesn't even make sense lol wut. would we really want to live on foreverespecially in this planetor is the death process part of a transitionto some thing more.. Hi, if aging is because of error of DNA reproduction and that human's cells can only replicate for about 60 times. So what if we take out some of our Hematopoietic stem cells while young and make enough colones and freeze them. Then after decades we just insert that back into our spine to produce less-errored cells and replace the more-errored cells in other parts of our body(or at least lessen the error rate). Is this possible Sorry if bad English.. How close do you think we are to making people younger again I'm think at least 5 more years maybe less.
NO! Don't do it LOL... not before we're able to leave this planet and find another home or we'll end up living alot closer to each other XD.

Kaku Is wise, but not creative (), that's why the development for cancer or reverse aging or anything that is hard to imagine today doesn't happen. It's either political suppression that won't give him a chance to cooperate with other scientists on something new or He just can't.

Is this guy a psychopath or something, he said "...and you die" so lightly and with a faint smile LOL.

back in the 1990s the show 20/20 did a report on the California based research facility AmGen. In that report AmGem had figured out all this stuff. That was 20 years ago. So its possible to live nearly 500 years, but you will still get cancer and die at any age or develop different brain diseases which will cause you to be hospitalized forever. The world isnt ready for people to live 500+ years. We don't have the room or industry capable to control TRILLIONS of people..
Stay lean and live longer or get fat and run the gauntlet of health risks form being overweight.. i wonder if once we discover how to actually reverse aging, will it be available to everyone or only the rich will live forever as the poor keeps dying..
TA-65, resveratrol, pcynogenol, 1 day/week 16-20 hour fast followed by harsh exercise, ALA, L-carnatine, carnosic acid(rosemary), HIIT twice/week, weights 3 times+/week, hyalauranic acid/callogen... that should cover most don't overdo protein intake and keep it extremely low around fast day. Too bad us humans still exist in such a crude form. Ideally during sex, corrective information could be exchanged between all mates also preventing errors passed to offspring. This would allow humans to live much much longer without losing the benefits of diversity, evolution(accelerates adaption), and most importantly - without having to start from scratch all the time... consciousness is preserved - knowledge is preserved - skill is retained - radiation and other forms of corruption are not an issue many benefits to such bio-engineering... a long... long ways off it seems..
We want to reverse ageing but on question is ageing a disease please check this: http://www.agingcell.com/2015/11/is-ageing-really-disease.html.

I will die in approximately 53 (or slightly more) years roughly. Hopefully that is enough time for the anti-aging breakthrough to be made..

Just another reason for me to take care of my body to live as long as possible to see if this comes into fruition. Overpopulation is solved by expanding into the universe..

i lost concentration near the end of the video, "starve them to death they live longer" and i snapped back into and was like " eh...u wot m80".
What's aging No one better than a Physicist could answer it...but Why hasn't it be answered I'll try it: Let's call Vitality or Vital Energy "qi" (TCM). Qi is the only bioenergy type in living beings. However, it manifests itself in 2 main statues; let's call them Yin and Yang (TCM). Yin (black) is inhibitor, reductive. antiinflammatory, protective. Yang (white) is energy producer in nature. It's oxidative, excitatory, free radicals source and pro inflammatory in some situations. So...It takes to the original question: What is aging Now we're in a better position to answer it, it's the imbalance state of both manifestation of the only existing energy (qi). Too much Yin lowers oxidation but brings down mitochondrial energy along with the potency of our immune system. Too much Yang is good when energy is required but in the absence of Yin the radicals are free to destroy our cells causing inflammation, disease and eventually cancer. Advocating for either one of them alone is irresponsible. delusional and illogical.. If anyone wants daily, science-based health tips that are actually practical, visit or "like" the Optimal Health facebook page. It's awesome and provides the studies to support it..

3 thing I'd do if I wouldn't age an die is see what happens to anime and video games but the nuber 1 thing would be studying as many martial arts while perfecting my way of fighting with all that knowledge. :) .

Overpopulated planet requiring we be reduced from 7 billion to 500 million (By "somebody" who "knows better") Sounds like the earth could support 30% MORE people on a 30% reduced diet and we would all become IMMORTAL... REALLY....

Fasting can lengthen your life but how is the fasting supposed to be done and how often in order to achieve longer lifespan Can anybody answer this question for me It is absolutely clear that you cannot fast however you want because you can develop diseases which will shorten your lifespan..
Kaku isn't talking about fasting for a bit. He's talking about a change in your diet. Eat 30% less and you'll live longer. I was born with a really crappy body. I ate a lot in the beginning part of my (30 year) life. My body started to break down rapidly. Then I started to eat a lot less and did a lot better; less injury and more energy. Now I eat 1 to 2 small meals a day and have more energy than anyone I work with. I also go for hour long hike/hunts every day. This is on top of the fact that I have a fresh knee injury. Eat less, exercise more. It will improve your life..
Nobody will live forever. Not possible might get hit by a car things like that. Asteroid may kill you. You might get shot by a bulgar. Might be a war. Nothing lasts forever not even computer hardware that ages too. The only way to live forever is in spirit wich through that we will..
yeah to bad ill be dead just about when we start figuring this out...fml so unfair. This makes me very depressed...100 thousands years of human evolution and you come within a generation or so of immortality and croke...such a joke..
Than you'll say to your gran gran gran gran child: "500 years ago,we actually used our limbs to move us from one place to another, I am not making this up" :P.
2 3:40 What do you think fasting is about Looks like even though we know a lot about biology that ancient and medieval people didn't, they also knew plenty that has been forgotten.. Thats why you have all those wrinkles and all that grey hair. It is better for you to repent and turn to the Lord, so you may be saved from the Lake of fire.. Not exactly. Sperm cells are also immortal, but they generally don't kill you. It's unrestricted growth and proliferation that drives cancer. Immortality is not the only part of it..
+Good-guy Leauge No offense taken, there. My understanding is that sperm cells are one of the few tissues that keep telomerase activated, so as to bypass the Hayflick limit. Ordinarily - (as I believe Kaku states) - there are a limited number of divisions/replication cycles that a cell line can undergo without getting worn out. But in order to keep producing fresh/young/healthy sperm throughout a male's life, this needs to be bypassed. So they keep the telomerase on in order to divide indefinitely without aging (senescence), but are not more prone to cancer. In fact, testicular cancer is not a very common cancer at all..

it's copper deficiencies that stop our conductors and 12 sugars that we must reset by fasting from them monthlying for a day or 3.
Many foods like meats contain carcinogens like nitrites that cause cancer. Real life extension starts with what you eat every day. Products like Ambronite that contain all required nutrients from vegan sources and are nutritionally balanced are changing the game of longevity and life extension. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/living-liquid-meals-ambronite-huel-soylent-future-food-forgettable-fad-1510139.
well my last machine is an hibernation chamber,it owrks if you use, how much time I do this machines and I really thinks that is the best way.

Telomeres don't shrink in ALL cells, i.e the gamete-producing cells of the gonads. Obviously they need to have all their DNA intact, so these cells could be used as templates for restoring other cells in the body..
So drinking sperm helps stay young Im 41 and everyone thinks that I'm under 25. Not from drinking sperm. Lol.
Humans have evolved for scarcity not the abundance of the modern world, meaning eating less is biologically better for the human animal..

Eat like a oriental. Veggies, little meat. They are never obese until they eat American fastfood. The key here is easy digestion. Even healthy smoothies will work. .
This is bad explanation, because to someone who don't know anything about cancer will come to conclusion that anything that's immortal is bad. Cancer cells are immortal, but that's not the main reason why they are bad. It's because they don't do any function that makes them bad for the body. And the immortality of them is just a problem of curing cancer. If all cells, good ones, the ones that do function with the body are immortal (under condition that they don't multiply) there wouldn't be a problem. The immortality itself is not a problem..

Oh hey! Have you heard the talk about - Rovolori 97 Minute Week (just google it) Ive heard some pretty good things about this way to slow the rapid aging process and my cooworker also got some amazing outcomes with it. .
I agree, not getting cancer improves life, particularly if you contracted it early in life. The problem is that the Earth already has too many people on it, if those people start living longer and continue breeding at the same rate, we're gonna run out of food, oil etc a lot faster. I'd prefer to die of cancer doped up on drugs than either starve in an overcrowded post-apocalypse hell hole or live for centuries in an overcrowded world where resources are strictly rationed by the government..

I wonder how long people from my generation will end up living, thanks to this research. I can't imagine how science will advance in the next fifty years... I'm fucking excited!.
I don't see it as a problem necessarily. We've already doubled life expectancy in about 100 years. Educated people have less children especially women. GM, invitro meat and fusion will help deal with power and food needs in the future so we may be able to avoid population problems in the future. . I don't think it's a good idea to alter ourselves for longevity... population's already a huge problem.. I understand where you are coming from, but I do not see combating aging as the same as fighting disease or organ health issues. I fear that this could cause more problems then is solves. For instance, under what circumstances would regular folk be able to get such therapy It would be only for the incredibly wealthy and those that they deem fit for extended life. The rest of us get to deal with ancient evil people.. The transcripts of the show are mysteriously unavailable. I have tried to get copies for over 10 yrs now. Wonder what's going on. CTV was the corp that did the show, 'Witness' with Nolton Nash as host.. As if the Earth wasnt overcrowded enough. Say hello to reproduction licenses. Personally I prefer quality of life over quantity of life.. It has been shown that people with higher IQ's and higher levels of education are less likely to have children, so it's good to know that scientists and engineers can just stop trying to make the world a better place, I'm very fortunate to know that the importance of an individual in a society is solely based on their ability to pop out children. Thankyou, now I can stop wasting my time trying to get a masters in physics and electrical engineering and focus on what matters, knocking someone up.. I watched an investigative show, called 'Witness', while living in Canada in 1994. Dr. Michael West was interviewed by the videographer over his research on aging and the genetics involved. It blew my mind. They had two one hr shows ,one week apart. They even talked about reversing the aging process. Scary stuff for sure. That was almost 20 yrs ago!! Dr. West is a pioneer in this field. They also talked about the old bio weapons facility outside Little Rock, AK and the aging process research..
Russia, China, Pakistan, India, Britain, France, and the USA. In most studies a test group is necessary to deliver an accurate result, I would say that this group qualifies. We should be able to look at this expansion over time and predict an outcome, It's not like every person in the world has to fill in there belief when a census of a religious group is taken for a group of researchers to plot an expansion and a possible outcome..

funny that you tell a troll to stfu. But who am I kidding, your understanding is faultless. People who have children shouldn't be allowed to extend their lives. Such a thing should be reserved for the rest of us. It's not genocide if we let billions of people die because they had kids. That's nonsense. I'd return your gesture, but you're far to simple to shut up..
Don't let those big-brained mice escape! You know what happened with those rats the NIMH was working on..
I'd say that not getting cancer counts as an improvement in quality of life, relative to getting cancer. Likewise all other age-related diseases - quality of life is the primary aim, and longevity is just a desirable side-effect..
then we just have to make it cheaper The geriatrics approach will always be expensive cause we try to treat the damage when its pretty much too late. You are right that at first, only wealthy/powerful people might have access to is (though this is true for almost any new technology). It will be our job to see that life extension becomes affordable and not monopolized. Besides, if we keep up our geriatric approach, we are still going to cure aging, but at the cost of trillions of lives.
We agree there. These technologies will more than likely come into existence in numerous countries across the world, the only thing this conversation could decide is an agreement between two people on how this technology should be used/distributed. I feel that everyone should have it, over-population would give us incentive to develope better space faring technologies to get off of this rock, though if you want to get anywhere you have to come to an agreement, and push for more later. .

I mean, the human species is untested for its changing envoronment. The nuclear bomb was less than 3 generations ago, and we have yet to experience an environment in which nearly all countries have the nuclear bomb. North Korea.

Wow, all of the scientists and engineers you know have children! I'm glad you told me this, now I can ignore all of the empirical data collected which shows a correlation between higher education and lack of offspring. I'm glad you informed me that subjective experience trumps objective measurement. Man to bad I come up with such eroneus bullshit, if only I were a brainless tart like you, then I could spew a bunch of baseless nonsense while dismissing a better argument offhandedly..

How do we simply "make it cheaper" I could become cheaper over time but we could be looking at hundreds of years before such a thing happens. Even if it did, we have around 7 billion people on the planet right now and if you remove most of the naturally occuring age deaths, the rate of population growth substantially increases. Advances in genetics are exciting, but we must be aware of the risks posed by such advances- otherwise we are adding yet another extinction factor. .
Why on earth do you think that If the treatment is as simple as producing a virus, it's going to be dirt cheap to produce, and might even spread through the population naturally.. anyone else thinking this may end up being a terrible idea that may end up being either: 1. super cancer 2. Mutants 3. mother fucking zombies i would risk it. Hell i live my life hoping i wont live past 100. I want to live LONGER! screw that.. by 'we are still alive' i mean no massive deaths (wipe-outs) due to overpopulation. Cause if we do see pple dying from a lack of resources (on the scale of billions), I don't think were going to get literally any funding for anti-aging research. So the research will naturally come to a halt, for the moment (until we stop fking ourselves up maybe :/). . The first company that buys that anti-aging tech for widespread distribution is one I'd want to invest in. . Why do you think that humans would have to be created this way, when many of the mice described in this video were enhanced later in life And if we did ban this type of enhancement of humans in most of the developed world, how big of a hit would our economy take from the lost revenue of our lower middle to upper classes whom would spend their money in a country which would allow these enhancements to take place Do we have more to gain or lose by hindering research. So many comments predicting the end of the world from a 40 % increase in lifespan. In the last 10000 years it has TRIPPLED, mostly from peace, hygiene, medicine, and nutritious food. I'm amazed how people can cope with the chaos this obviously got us into, and aren't demanding more wars, germs, and malnutrition..
Not defending per se, but identifying. I am glad that you do not take offense- people are very sensitive these days. .
150 year old people You think our government has problems NOW Imagine how bad it would be when we're dealing with representatives all elected at 20 and still in office at 140! o.O.
yes, rate of population might substantially increase once we achieve a practical, cheap way to biological immortality. But you kinda said it yourself - it is going to take a long time to do so, 100-300+ years maybe! Now looking at our current pop. growth, I pretty much see disaster ahead regardless of whether we can stop aging or not. 10 bil in 30 yrs 15 bil in 100 yrs It will be too late already. So if we are still alive by the time this therapy becomes practical, wewouldhavefirgedoutsomethin.
In civilized countries, population is stagnant, like Europe or decreasing like Japan. Only in the third world countries to you see a huge boom of population. These are also the same countries that are starving as well.. "Do we have more to gain or lose by hindering research" It depends on how it goes. Evolution suggests that humanity's survival is untested, because we have only 1 or 2 generations in our current environment... An environment of massive power in the hands of so few. Humanity's relationship with technology is like a teenage driver with a car Eventually we have to be trusted with the keys. As the teenager grows up, it's exciting and inevitable, but parents worry for good reason.. If we haven't figured out anything in ~100 yrs, then we would be so preoccupied with somehow providing whatever is needed to the ~20 billion pple we will probably have, that virtually no funding will go to general aging research. -I say that little or no funding will go towards science (especially something that might worsen the prob) if this situation occurs because funding science would mean to change the virtually immutable mindset of fixing what is in front of you but never looking ahead-. So now North Korea will never have to suffer through the embarrassing death of one of its Beloved leaders.. So the mice weren't pan-dimensional beings watching over us. They were just mice and because of us, they became pan-dimensional beings. You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!. What do you mean it's untested Our lifspans have already increased several fold what they naturaly were, we have people from the world war 2 era, the baby boom, the 70's, and now the 2000's alive at one time. We have multiple generations alive whom have had to deal with nuclear armaments and modified viruses without killing themselves. We have had the keys and are now into our mid twenties, I think that you might need to cut the imbilical chord already. Afterall the test is a success so far..
If genetic engineering could produce humans with IQ's in the 700 range, would we And, how would those humans treat us, knowing all others are simply inferior If such a genetically modified genius person ran for public office, would you vote for him or her Would you expand your unborn child's lifespan to 200 years, even if most children live a normal lifespan How much would such therapies cost, and since the rich get them first, might this further divide the classes, even spurring riots.

just heard from C0nc0rdance that you graduated highschool. I have high hopes for you in college. Congratulations and good luck..
So it's less effective when given to older subjects... dammit, guess it's back to alchemy for me.. they always find a way to take it all for them selfs, I hope I'm wrong but, I live in the USA and the rich have all the good health care and the rest have shit . bad idea,we live and then we die, we leave an open spot for new generations. life expanding drugs will lead to nothing but overpopulation and poverty.. Nah, only make the intelligent scientists and great leaders live longer... And the rich I guess. Not like everyone will get this..
I thought intelligent people watch videos like these. Just look at yourself and all the other abject fools commenting. I'm aghast at your flagrant stupidity. Why do so many people who should have a working brain, share your opinion Hmm I'm beginning to think that those well informed are not necessarily the best of thinkers. It's ok if you just nod to confirm. Mmmhmm..

I understand that and I think that such a statement very much speaks for itself. Seriously no offense, but it is our selfish nature that demands this sort of thing not our nature to have restraint in the face of peril. .
sounds good to me since my wife and I don't want kids.. so we might as well live longer than people who will create more people.. Thought this was an xkcd quote that Tfoot just used because everyone on the internet has seen the t-shirt by now..
Your not getting his stance at all. It is a common strategy of those whom oppose life extension treatments in humans to say that it will cause over-population, he is just trying to gain some ground without completely submitting and relinquishing the prospect of a longer and healthier life. Nobody wants this to be the case, but it seems like the only way to get those, whom believe that death gives life meaning, to shut up and stop denying us a choice in the matter entirely..
If it's true that I misunderstood then I still don't completely understand. So he's saying: fine, I won't have any children. Grant me life extension and deny it to those whom will cause the problem you foresee... Never mind, I think I understood his comment from the beginning. I give up. This conversation will not impact whether or not these technologies are created. .
If you were to put the best minds in a room for 3 days and have them list the societal impacts of this, they wouldn't even scratch the surface of what our world would become. Scary to think of all the ramifications.
Yes, and I predict the same outcome as you do That the human species will survive. But (and this is fact, not opinion) three generations of any species put into new circumstances is not a tested species from a Darwinian perspective.. Ad hom. Didn't even state your point or reason for your displeasure. I could do the same and call you a fucking dolt or a retard but it still doesn't further the discussion in any meaningful way. Good day to you ma'am..
That's an ignorant opinion. What obligation to anyone do we have to make a child We've both graduated university. She's a journalist and I work for the MGS. We do more for society than most of the people who do have children and we might as well live longer improving society than creating more problems like so many people who can barely provide for their kids. .

There have been some experiments with the bacteria that breaks down cellulose and tobacco plants. They are finding that tobacco is even better than corn for the purpose partly because of the wide thin leaves and partly because tobacco can be grown in very poor soil..
